Emma's Adventure

By the river, a friendlyfisherman and girl named Emma was looking at all the pretty things in its pond. She had seen them each day, and she wanted to stay and explore. The sun began to shine on her as she watched the water go by. Emma smiled with joy as it sparkled in the sunlight.

Suddenly, she saw something shining near the surface of the pond and looked closer. It was a little girl! She had been playing in the grass when the fish started swimming around her, taking her away from the lake. Emma sighed with relief and gently said, “Mommy, why are you so close to my pond?”.

Her mom smiled again as she understood what Emma had heard. “I’m so glad I came here,” she said. “The sun is shining on my face, it is really nice.” She then reached out her hand and touched the little girl’s shiny handy gently. It made Emma smile back!
