By the river, a friendlyfisherman was walking along. He saw something shiny in the water and wanted to know what it was. He looked around but couldn’t see anyone.

So he kept walking and he noticed a boat with some people near the shore. He stopped to talk to them about the fishing. “What are you doing?” one of the people asked. The fisherman smiled and said, “I am looking for something shiny to put in my basket.” The person nodded, and said, “Oh, I know where that shiny thing is.” He pointed to a nearby hill, which had a shining cross on it. He showed the people how to get their things from the spot. The people were so excited!

They thanked the man for his help and went off to find their parents. The fisherman was happy he had been able to help them, but he couldn’t stop thinking about what they did that day. He knew that something special might happen if he had caught it.
