Lucy's Bird

On top of a hill, there was abig tree. The tree had lots of leaves and birds liked to sit on it. One day, a little girl named Lucy came up to the tree.

She saw a bird sitting on a branch above her. “Hello, bird!” she said. The bird looked at Lucy and flew away. But then, something unexpected happened. The tree started to shake!

Lucy was scared and did not know what to do. She thought it would be easy to get away from the tree. She decided to pray for help. Lucy closed her eyes and said a little prayer with all her might.

Suddenly, the tree stopped shaking and opened its branches around Lucy’s head. The bird flew away too! Lucy was very happy and thanked the tree.

From that day on, Lucy always remembered to pray when she needed help.
