The Fisherman

By the river, a friendlyfisherman was fishing. Every day, he would go to the river and catch some fish. He had a big net and a shiny silver coin which he wanted to keep for himself. One night, the fisherman set out on his boat and began to sail away.

As he sailed through the deep waters, he saw something strange in the water. It was a little boy’s boat! The fisherman had never seen anything like this before and he felt scared but he wanted to show it off to someone. The fisherman quickly grabbed his silver coin from the boat and threw it into the seaweed, hoping that the fish would find the coins there too.

But instead, the fish began to grow bigger and bigger! At first it seemed like they were not going to be friendly anymore. It was a big, mean fish, with sharp teeth and angry eyes. The fisherman was so scared he shouted out loud: “Help me, please!” But no one could hear him.

He was too far away from his home. The fish had taken the coins and kept them to himself. Soon, it started to rain heavily.
