Lucy's Walk

As she walked outside, the sky was full of big grey clouds. “Where are you going, Lucy?” asked mommy. Lucy smiled and said, “I’m going for a walk, mommy!” Mommy smiled back and said, “That sounds like fun!

But it looks very dark.” So Lucy nodded eagerly and started walking. As she walked along the street, she saw something strange. It was a big, beautiful tree.

It had lots of colorful leaves on it. “Look, mommy!” shouted Lucy as she ran up to the tree. Mommy laughed and said, “Let’s sit here for a while, then you can come back to your walk.” Lucy nodded with excitement. She couldn’t wait to come back home and go on her walk, even though it was dark outside.
